Rope splicing tool, known as a Swedish Fid (but sometimes called a Marline Spike). These Swedish Fid rope splicing tools make it easy to splice 3-strand ropes. The tapered shape of the working end of the fid makes it easy to insert between the strands of the rope, then the hollowed out shape of the tang makes it easy to guide through the stand for splicing. These Swedish Fids come in a choice of Large or Small sizes.
